Leslie M. Sims, M.D.
Dr. Leslie M. Sims is committed to providing her patients with excellent care. Board-certified by both the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners, she received her Bachelor of Arts at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She completed a post-baccalaureate course in General Science at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and obtained a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health before earning her Doctorate of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
In addition to extensive postdoctoral training and clinical success, Dr. Sims is an accomplished teacher who has looked for ways to contribute to continuing medical education. She has acted as moderator for the Oculoplastic, Orbital and Reconstructive Surgery Section of the National Medical Association for the 104th and 105th Annual Convention and Scientific Assemblies, authored articles for several ophthalmology journals, and has traveled around the country giving lectures and demonstrations on the evaluation, treatment, and management of various ophthalmic disorders.
