State of the Art Technology |
| To aid the opthalmologists at
the Westfield Eye Center in diagnosing and treating eye disease, we have
a number of state of the art instruments available on site.
Instruments such as the Corneal Topography machine for providing
computerized color analysis of the cornea. Information like this
is invaluable in refractive surgery and other corneal conditions.
Another piece of equipment provides us with a Digital Flourescein
Angiography; helpful in diagnosing diabetic eye disease and macular
degeneration, this digital technology provides the physician with almost
instant results. The latest addition to our range of high-tech
equipment is the Optical Coherence Tomography machine (OCT). This
state of the art machine permits detailed examination of the retina and
optic nerve head right here at the Westfield Eye Center clinic.
The OCT facilitates diagnosis and management of retinal diseases and
glaucoma. |
