Las Vegas Thermage®
Technology has brought about some remarkable innovations in the field of medicine, and nowhere is that fact more appreciated than at Westfield Eye Center. We have long specialized in the use of innovative techniques (such as lasers) for eye surgery and now offer an exciting new method of non-surgical skin tightening for our patients in Las Vegas: Thermage®. This treatment can tighten lax skin and smooth wrinkles, allowing patients to look more rested and refreshed without the expense, discomfort, and downtime of surgery.

About Thermage
One of the characteristics of aging skin is that, as collagen breaks down, it becomes less elastic and begins to wrinkle and sag. The beauty industry makes millions by marketing creams and serums that claim to firm, plump, or tighten aging skin, but these achieve minimal results at best.
The Thermage treatment utilizes unique radiofrequency (RF) technology to achieve results that are not just superficial. This technology allows the deeper layers of your skin to be safely heated, while the surface layers are kept cool and intact. This deep heating not only causes the tightening of existing collagen, but it stimulates the production of new collagen as well. The result is firmer, smoother skin that will continue to emerge gradually over several months.
Most patients will only need one treatment to achieve beautiful, natural results with Thermage. Our Las Vegas doctors can use this treatment to improve the appearance of wrinkled, sagging skin in areas such as the mouth, eyes, forehead, neck, and chin. To correct a more significant degree of sagging, wrinkling, or hooding around the eyes, we also perform blepharoplasty in Las Vegas.
Your Thermage Treatment
One of the great benefits of Thermage treatments is that they are comfortable and quick - typically taking less than one hour. Discomfort is minimal, often compared to the snapping of an elastic band against the skin, and can be avoided with a topical numbing cream. The Thermage hand piece is carefully guided over the treatment area, delivering radiofrequency energy for deep heating of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, while simultaneously cooling the surface of the skin.
Although your skin may be slightly red following treatment, you can re-apply makeup and resume your normal activities without any downtime or special aftercare. Some patients see immediate results, but the full effect of the treatment typically emerges over 2-6 months. Results from Thermage treatment may last several years, depending on the rate of the aging process in any particular patient.
